Tirreno-Adriatico 2019: etap 6. Julian Alaphilippe przed sprinterami

Julian Alaphilippe

Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step), po finiszu z peletonu, wygrał szósty etap Tirreno-Adriatico.

Drugim miejscem zadowolił się Davide Cimolai (Israel Cycling Academy), a trzecie zajął Elia Viviani (Deceuninck-Quick Step).

W klasyfikacji generalnej nie zaszły zmiany, wciąż prowadzi Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott).

Przedostatniego dnia wyścigu trasa prowadziła z Matelica do Jesi (195 km). Druga część była płaska, dlatego spodziewano się walki sprinterów.

W roli uciekinierów wystąpili Gijs van Hoecke (CCC Team), Davide Ballerini (Astana), Ben King (Dimension Data), Mirco Maestri (Bardiani-CSF), Igor Boev (Gazprom-Rusvelo), José Joaquin Rojas (Movistar) i Dayer Quintana (Neri Sottoli-Selle Italia-KTM).

Tempo jazdy nie było wysokie, a przewaga siódemki oscylowała poniżej 3 minut. Teren dla najszybszych kolarzy w peletonie, z dużym wkładem Rafała Majki (Bora-hansgrohe), został oczyszczony 4 kilometry przed metą, kiedy złapano Rojasa i Balleriniego.

W samej końcówce na czele znaleźli się kolarze Deceuninck – Max Richeze i Alaphilippe. Francuz zaryzykował sprint na metę, zaskakując tym wszystkich sprinterów.
