Michał Paluta and Jakub Kaczmarek join CCC Polsat Polkowice

Two U23 riders turn professional with Polish ProContinental squad

CCC Polsat Polkowice keeps bringing talented youngsters to its ranks and as a result changes the composition of the roster for 2015. Three U23 riders have already signed contracts with Poland-based team and futher changes are expected.

Having previously contracted Polish U23 champion Piotr Brożyna, the team announced Saturday the signing of Michał Paluta, Polish junior time trial champion (2013). Paluta has been racing in TKK Pacific Toruń for past nine months, a club where Michał Kwiatkowski grew up and developed.

Rowery.org also understands that CCC Polsat Polkowice reached an agreement with Jakub Kaczmarek. 20-year-old, previously racing for continental squad Wibatech-Brzeg, joins the team from Spanish Telcom Gimex, where he spent 2014 season.

Kaczmarek showed a lot of promise, this year coming 2nd in Vuelta a Navarra and 3rd in Vuelta a Bidasoa, as well as adding a couple top10 finishes in one-day races of Copa Espana U23 to his palmares.

Both Brożyna and Kaczmarek rode for Telcom Gimex and played key roles in national championships U23 road race, finishing 1st and 4th respectively.

CCC Polsat Polkowice is currently ranked 6th in UCI Europe Tour team ranking and has been gradually expanding, last year signing ex-Vacansoleil-DCM rider Tomasz Marczyński, as well as Belarusian Branislau Samoilau and Maciej Paterski. This year the team led by former professional Piotr Wadecki has received a handful of wild cards for important European races, including Amstel Gold Race, Tour de Suisse, Volta a Catalunya and Tour de Pologne, as well as Bayern Rundfahrt and Tour of Turkey.

With Paterski winning Uno-X Tour of Norway and placing among best in Italian autumn one-day races, the team is looking forward to 2015 season and is expected to announce further signings to realize one of its biggest ambitions – ride one of the Grand Tours.
