Skoda-Tour de Luxembourg 2018: etap 3. Andrea Pasqualon po zwycięstwo i lidera

Andrea Pasqualon (Wanty – Groupe Gobert) po finiszu z czołowej grupy wygrał trzeci etap wyścigu Tour de Luxembourg.

30-letni Włoch pokonał Angelo Tulika (Direct Energie) i Nicka van der Lijke’a (Roompot – Nederlandse Loterij), wychodząc na prowadzenie w wyścigu. Wiceliderem został Słoweniec Jan Tratnik z CCC Sprandi Polkowice.

Dziś był etap królewski, a ja czułem się bardzo dobrze od samego startu. Wygrałem pierwszy sprint, a potem myślałem już tylko o końcowych rundach i o tym, jak zyskać jak najwięcej sekund. Gdy dojechaliśmy na okrążenie od razu zaatakowałem, z czterema innymi zawodnikami. Wygrałem drugą premię, a potem trzecią, na solo. Miałem wszystko pod kontrolą i pilnowałem, by nie zużyć zbyt dużo energii. To mogłoby mnie kosztować na ostatnim podjeździe. Z tego powodu postanowiłem zwolnić i poczekać na peleton.

W sprincie nie miałem szczęścia. Było dosyć niebezpiecznie, bo droga prowadziła w dół. Niestety dałem się zamknąć i nie mogłem powalczyć o lepszą lokatę. Cieszę się jednak z awansu na 2.pozycję w generalce oraz z postawy kolegów z zespołu. Dzięki ich wsparciu i zaufaniu mogłem zrealizować plan na dziś
