Handzame Classic 2017. Kristoffer Halvorsen potwierdza swój talent

Młodzieżowy mistrz świata Kristoffer Halvorsen wygrał w Kortemark 15. edycję flandryjskiego wyścigu jednodniowego.

20-letni Norweg z Team Joker Icopal po finiszu z peletonu pokonał mistrza Wielkiej Brytanii Adama Blythe (Aqua Blue Sport) i Kenny’ego Dehaesa (Wanty – Groupe Gobert).

11. miejsce wywalczył Alan Banaszek (CCC Sprandi Polkowice).

W pierwszej, 12-osobowej poważniejszej ucieczce, znalazł się Patryk Stosz z CCC Sprandi Polkowice, a 60 kilometrów przed metą na czele jechał jego kolega Jonas Koch, w towarzystwie Timothy’ego Stevensa (Pauwels sauzen).

Na płaskiej, ale narażonej na podmuchy trasie, do tej dwójki dołączył mocny kwartet Iljo Keisse (Quick-Step Floors), Lukas Pöstlberger (Bora-hansgrohe), Mads Würtz Schmidt (Katusha – Alpecin) i Alex Kirsch (WB Veranclassic). Peleton tracił 40 sekund.

W pościgu pracowali kolarze Lotto Soudal, Wanty i Aqua Blue Sport, którzy ugasili pożar 35 kilometrów przed kreską. Następne próby zawiązania ucieczki duszone były w zarodku, w efekcie zwycięzcę wyłonił chaotyczny sprint z peletonu.
